Before you can begin configuring financials, you must first ensure that you have the proper user permissions. Administration users can update these permissions for any user role.

Customizing the Standard Finance Role
When creating new roles you can select a standard role and add or remove permissions to create a custom rolefor your venue. We recommend starting with the standard "Finance Role."

If you choose not to use the standard Finance role, the following permissions must be assigned to a user or role to grant access to certain accounts receivable features and functionality.

1. The Invoices permissions must be set to Edit in order to create invoices. 2. For full invoicing access privileges, remember to select Mark Invoices Sent and Mark Invoices Unsent. 3. The Payments & Credits permission must be set to Edit to allow the user to create credits and refunds.
Standard Finance Role
Your Elite system comes equipped with a set of standard roles. The standard Finance Role allows users to update event financials, invoice for events, view all event financials, and manage payments, credits, and refunds.
Getting Started
A user or role must be assigned the necessary permissions to utilize the features and workflows available during the deposit invoicing and event finalization processes. You may create roles with varying combinations of these privileges to fit your users' needs.
1. The Invoices permissions must be set to Edit in order to create invoices. 2. For full invoicing access privileges, remember to select Mark Invoices Sent and Mark Invoices Unsent. 3. The Payments & Credits permission must be set to Edit to allow the user to create credits and refunds for invoices with negative balances due to overpayment.

In the Venue-Specific Access permissions: 4. The Finances checkbox must be selected for each venue where the user should have access to the event or account's financial tabs. 5. Edit Adjustments is required in order to create event adjustments for customer refunds or credits.
