The Korean school system is organized as follows: Elementary school โ 6 years (ages 6-12). Middle school โ 3 years (ages 13-15). High school โ 3 years (ages 16-18). University or higher education โ typically 4 years. Education is compulsory until the end of middle school and free in public schools.

Korean students allways wake up very early, around 6:00 a.m., and go to school before 8:00 a.m. During the morning, they have classes in Korean, math, English, science, and history. At 12:30 p.m., they have lunch in the school cafeteria and then continue with classes until 4:00 p.m. Afterward, many attend private academies called hagwon, where they study until 9:00 or 10:00 p.m. When they get home, they have dinner, do their homework, and go to bed around midnight. It's a very long and demanding routine, but Korean students are used to working hard to get good grades and get into university. ๐๐ฐ๐ท
