A Whirly Twirly Day
Part 1: Describe how she feels when she wakes up.
New words
Dear Diary,
Today I woke up feeling all whirly and twirly inside. I felt unhappy but I did not know why. Then my sister ate my toast and I got crosser and crosser. I stamped my feet and had a big strop. Mum said I was angry but I was not just angry!

Part 2: Things go wrong at school.
At school Calum took my best red pen. I screamed louder than ever and my cheeks burned with anger! I started to shake and clenched my fists into a ball. Then I tried to play a new game but I did not know the rules. Lola said I was too angry to be her friend and that felt unkind. It was the darkest day!

Part 3: She talks to her mum and feels better.
When I got home I stomped up the stairs. I untied my trainers and kicked them into an untidy heap! I threw myself on the bed and cried! At bedtime, I told Mum about my day and she sat with me. She gave me the softest hug and said it is okay to feel like this. Now I feel lighter and the calmest I have felt all day.
