PLANNED EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Titling activity will be important to keep track of which lessons have been entered in the system. When creating a title – include group name, curriculum, and the lesson #(s) that were taught.
ENTERING ACTIVITY INFORMATION
Examples of titles: Adult: “Santa Maria Bonita HBHM Lesson 1” Youth: “Harris Elementary HHA 3rd grade lesson 1”. Youth groups could add the identifier of a teacher, coach, period etc. – such as “Harris Elementary, Mrs. Smith, HHA, Lesson 1”
In addition to the title, the following is entered:
- Activity Date – date lesson was taught
- Educator Name
- Activity Indicator – select “EFNEP”
- ‘Who led the activity?’ - select “Faculty”
- 'Were you or volunteer activity lead?’ – select “Yes”
- If two educators are team teaching a class – only the lead should enter the TAMED data for that activity.
- ‘Fee Based program?’ – select “No”
- ‘Plan Type for Activity’ – select “Agent Plan”
- You will see “Agent Plan Name”.
- If you are entering an adult program, you will select “EFNEP- {your county} In-depth Adult program plan {year}”.
- If you are entering a youth program, you will select “EFNEP – {your county} In-depth Youth program plan {year}”.
- Program Area – always select “Human Nutrition”
- % of Activity – select “100%”
ACTIVITY DETAILS
- Delivered at a distance via technology? – usually “No”
- Is this a planning group committee meeting? – “No”
- Is this part of an in-depth program? – “Yes”
- County – add your county
- Zip code for activity – add zip code
Will go into more detail about sessions/days and hours in proceeding slides
- CEUs – “No”
- Summary – see description in image
The Summary area is a good place to note if anything unusual takes place during a class. Class cut short and why or any other pertinent information.
CLASS TIME - ACTIVITY DETAILS
- Total number of sessions or days = number of lessons the participants received
- Average hours per session = the amount of time the lesson was taught
- Entered as Decimal time in 15-minute increments (TAMED internally converts to Minutes)
- Average number of participants per session = number of participants in your class that day
A good rule of thumb is to remember that TAMED is about the amount of time our participants receive, not about the amount of time or work you do.
Examples: Adult Programs You teach one lesson at a community center, it takes 1.5 hours to teach the lesson, and you have 30 participants that day. You would enter 1, 1.5 and 30. You ‘double up’ and teach 2 lessons to the same group of participants, it takes 1 hour to teach each lesson, and you have 20 participants that day. You would enter 2, 1 and 20.
