Click Sign in now? at the bottom and it will give you high school access. If your AI isn't working you might have to clear your cache and cookies or power wash your CB.

Before you use any AI, you must talk with your teacher about what is acceptable.
Use AI like it's a think partner, NOT a brain replacement. *Remember* presenting someone else's words as your own original thought is Academic Dishonesty.
Perplexity is not blocked, but you can't log in.

Does it fit your needs? Make sure it answers your question or matches your project. Avoid sources that feel off-topic or too complex/simple.
Authoritative
Who wrote it? Look for authors or organizations with expertise or good reputations on the topic.
Accurate
Purpose
Is it true? Check if the facts are correct, supported by evidence, and free of errors. Cross-check with other trustworthy sources.
Why does it exist? Decide if it's meant to inform, sell, persuade, or entertain. Be cautious with sources that seem biased.
Perplexity is unblocked for High School students.
If you are getting a blocked message: - IP Authenticate and log into filter
- Clear Cache & Cookies
- Powerwash your Chromebook
If none of those work- put a ticket in your portal helpdesk.
Prompting
Tell Perplexity what you're looking for. You can ask it to find you peer reviewed or academic papers on your topic.
Remember, unlike databases, you can't always trust the sources it gives you. You must put the articles through the CRAAP test!
