Halloween is a holiday celebrated every year on October 31st, the night before all Saint'Day(November 1). It is very popular in the US but it is now celebrated in many other countries,including Italy.
What do you do?
On Halloween night,people dress up as ghosts,witches,monsters,or other spooky characters.They go from house to house saying:"Trick or treat?"People give them candies or sweets in exchange.

The origins of halloween started over 2000 years ago from an ancient Celtic festival called Samhain,marking the end of summer and the beginning of winter.The Celts believed that in October 31st,the spirits of the dead could return to Earth.People lit bonfires and wore costumens to protect themselves.Later,the church called this night "All Hallows'Eve",which became Halloween.
