Rules of game
Goal: Checkmate your opponent’s king. Board: 8×8 squares. Each player has 16 pieces Moves: King → 1 square any direction Queen → any number of squares, any direction. Rook → straight lines (horizontal or vertical). Bishop → diagonally. Knight → L-shape, can jump pieces. Pawn → forward 1 (or 2 from start), captures diagonally. White moves first.
