What is the Saint James Way

The Saint James way is the oldest peregrine route that have routes across Spain, France and Portugal, the French Way is the most important. All the routes go to the same place, it ends on the Saint James Cathedral.

1: Pancorbo

Pancorbo is a municipality and town located in la Bureba in Burgos (Spain) and it have 437 habitants. The most important places, are:

  • Santa Engracia Fortress, its a historical and cultural interest.
  • Santa Marta Castle, is a medieval castle that offers spectacular views and a rich history.

2:Brivesca

Briviesca is a town that has 6.547 habitants.

  • The monastery of Santa Clara is a historical monument that was founded by the noble Mencía de Velasco.
  • The main square(temple) is one of the most important things in Briviessca. It's the place where the musicians play.

-The french route: Is the most popular, and for the beginners. It goes through the North of Spain.-The portuguese route: They are two types: the one that goes inside the country and the other that goes from the coast.
