Suddenly, a voice drifts from the shadows — it claims to know Dr. Jekyll… or perhaps Mr. Hyde. Its memories twist and splinter, half truth, half madness. Choose carefully: only one answer will help uncover the truth of the man—and the monster—within.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
A chill runs down your spine as you hurry to find the right answer.
08
You move into the room where the whispers are coming from. A chill sweeps over you...goosebumps forming...sweat freezing in place. Dustmotes dance in the faint light coming through the window as a mirror in the corner begins to flash between two faces & fog over.
You rush to the door—only to find it’s locked up like Dr. Jekyll’s secret. Maybe… just maybe… the mirror is hiding the answer.
Go on. Turn around. It’s not like looking into a haunted mirror ever ends badly, right?
09
As you look closer into the mirror, it starts to reflect something that shouldn’t be there. A photo from the stairwell - perhaps Dr. Jekyll? - appears then fades, as the twisted silhouette of a ghastly figure becomes clearer… it seems the two are struggling to remember who they are...
Something went wrong… a cackling suddenly fills the air.
The light flickers, and a whisper slithers through the dark: “He’s not himself anymore…” Turn back now… if you still can.
10
It appears that Hyde...Jekyll...whoever it is, is trying to show you something. The hollow voice rises again — clearer, more human. Each answer you give seems to restore a fragment of Dr. Jekyll’s story… and the darker secrets of Mr. Hyde begin to surface.
Incorrect.
The voice twists unnaturally, half-human, half-monster. Hyde snickers, Jekyll sighs, and you start to wonder… maybe the story doesn’t want your answer to be right.
Now you KNOW you have to get into that lab. Find the key to continue.

The ground vibrates softly. Tables creak. Beakers tremble. A low hum fills the laboratory as if the room itself is remembering. It appears that Hyde… Jekyll… whoever it is, is trying to show you something. The shadowed voice rises again—clearer, more human.
Wrong answer.
The beakers shake, the lamps flicker, and something in the corner is watching.
14
Shelves of dusty bottles rattle softly. One vial glows faintly crimson, its label smudged with ink: “Transformare.” The scent of chemicals and anger fill the air.A whisper curls through the room: “He thought he could control it… he thought he could choose who to be.”
Wrong formula.
The liquids bubble, hiss, and smell… odd. Jekyll groans, Hyde chuckles. Maybe don’t try that again.
You hear footsteps—quick, uneven—followed by a slam. The laboratory door shudders, then locks itself. A blood-red handprint appears on the wood before slowly fading. The voice returns, trembling: “He tried to hide me… but the monster cannot be caged forever."

You reread Jekyll’s letter. His words echo in your mind: the thrill of freedom, the temptation of power, and the growing fear of losing control. It becomes clear that Hyde was more than a person—he was Jekyll’s dark side made flesh.
Nope.
The letters twist and shimmer, like they’re alive. A shadow giggles nearby. Hyde seems very pleased… and you’re not sure you should be.

The room fills with smoke. Shadows twist into shape. You see Jekyll fighting Hyde’s reflection in the mirror — two faces, one man. The air crackles with energy as a final question echoes:“Can good and evil ever truly be separated?” Your answer determines what happens next.
Wrong.
The struggle between Jekyll and Hyde rages before your eyes. Shadows twist, furniture trembles, and Hyde throws a sly grin your way. “Try again, if you dare,” he hisses—while Jekyll groans in exasperation.

The lab is silent. The smoke clears, and the mirror reflects Jekyll and Hyde struggling as one. The shadowed voice whispers your final question: What will become of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in the end? Explore each option.
Hyde Wins
The smoke thickens, twisting into Hyde’s shape. Jekyll struggles, but his strength fails. A chilling laugh fills the lab as Hyde takes control completely. The mirror cracks and reflects only Hyde’s twisted face. The door creaks open, but the streets outside feel colder, darker. Jekyll is gone… and Hyde walks free, unrestrained by conscience or morality. A startling laugh follows you into the dark street.
Jekyll Wins
A faint glow surrounds Jekyll as he seizes control. Hyde shrieks and fades, dissolving into shadow. Jekyll breathes deeply, exhausted but whole. The lab grows still. The mirror clears, showing only Jekyll’s weary, human face. The door swings open, and sunlight spills in. For now, reason and morality have triumphed—but the echo of Hyde’s laughter lingers in memory.
Good & Evil merge
The mirror fogs and the smoke swirls. Jekyll and Hyde struggle, then suddenly their faces merge, one human reflection emerging from the chaos. The two sides are inseparable yet calm, fading into a single, ghostly figure that smiles knowingly. The lab door opens silently. Outside, night and day blend as if the world itself acknowledges the balance of good and evil within every person.

4 November 1886Dear Utterson, In all of us, there is both good and evil. I wondered: What if I could separate myself into two? My evil side could enjoy itself, and my good side could be pure—completely free of corruption. I created a potion that transformed me into an embodiment of my evil side. As Hyde, I felt powerful—gleefully unrestrained by the laws of morality. But when Hyde murdered Carew, I vowed never to transform again. For a while, all was well. Then my dark side grew stronger. I started turning into Hyde uncontrollably. Soon I ran out of the potion that would turn me back into my good self. I am not able to make more; there is a key ingredient I cannot find. The next time I turn into Hyde, it will be forever. I cannot predict what will become of Hyde. I can only say that by the time you read this letter, Henry Jekyll will be no more.In both light and shadow, Dr. Henry Jekyll
