Story
He was born in the nineteenth century to two Turin puppeteers, named Giovanni Sales and Gioachino Bellone. They were puppeteers, who toured Italy, in particular, Liguria, where they staged their theatre

During the 1865 Carnival in Turin, the popular mask Gianduja handed out new chocolates made with cocoa and hazelnuts by Caffarel. People loved them — they were named “Gianduja,” and the small sweets became the famous “Gianduiotti.”Caffarel celebrates its 160th anniversary.
