Ms. Michelle's Class

October 27,2025- October 25,2025

Oct.27. - Oct. 31,2025

Hello Learning Together Families! I want to try to use this format to share weekly information and pictures with the families. My goal is to be able to share some information, pictures, and activities that we are working on throughout the school day. I am opened to any feedback and am hopeful this will make sharing pictures easier. This past week, we started adding in some handwriting to our end of the day. I am working with our OT's to carryover the handwriting from our Handwriting Without Tears program. Currently, we are targeting straight lines from top to bottom and left to right. We are using the dry erase easel in our class and our smart board. On our smart board, I am using splashlearn.com (pictured on the right). Our first letter will be L. This past week we worked on tracing straight lines. The students have really enjoyed this activity.

Ooey Gooey Day

On Friday, we had Ooey Gooey day and our Harvest Fest Party. The students were able to play with different sensory items inclusing rice that had fall items and creatues in them, dried pasta, playdough, and oobleck. We also painted pumpkins. I will send home the pumpkins Monday. Thank you to everone who donated snacks!

Hi Families! This week is going to be a sweet one! đŸȘ🧁 We’ll be diving into some of our favorite books by **Laura Numeroff**, including If You Give a Mouse a Cookie and If You Give a Moose a Muffin. The children will enjoy fun activities to go along with each story — and to top it all off, we’ll celebrate with a muffin and cookie snack on Friday! In Handwriting, we’ll start tracing and drawing curved lines. All of our handwriting work follows the Handwriting Without Tears (HWT) program. This program teaches letters in the order children naturally learn them — starting with capital letters and grouping them by their shapes (like straight lines or curves). Beginning with capitals helps build confidence, because every letter starts at the top and uses simple strokes. It’s a great way for our young writers to feel successful and proud of their progress! ✏ We’re also working hard on building independence every day. The students are doing a wonderful job unpacking their own bags and waiting their turn to line up or gather their things for snack and lunch. We use visual cues to help make our routines clear, and it’s amazing to see how much everyone is growing and learning! 🌟 A quick note about photos — if your child isn’t pictured one week, it may be because they were out of the classroom for a related service during that time. My team and I do our best to capture moments from everyone’s day so you can enjoy seeing what we’ve been up to together! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and a fun, safe Halloween! 🎃 Warmly, Ms. Michelle
