ΕΙΣΑΓΩΓΗ
Η ενεργός ευρωπαϊκή πολιτειότητα ενισχύει τη δημοκρατία, προάγει την ενότητα στην πολυμορφία και διασφαλίζει ότι οι πολιτικές της ΕΕ αντανακλούν τις φωνές και τις ανάγκες των πολιτών της. Δίνει τη δυνατότητα στα παιδιά να συμβάλλουν στη διαμόρφωση του μέλλοντος της Ευρώπης - όχι μόνο ως κάτοικοι των χωρών τους, αλλά ως μέλη μιας κοινής ευρωπαϊκής κοινότητας.
Οι εκπαιδευτικοί συμβάλλουν στη διαμόρφωση ενεργών, υπεύθυνων και αφοσιωμένων ευρωπαίων πολιτών. Αυτό το επιτυγχάνουν ενθαρρύνοντας τη συμμετοχή, καλλιεργώντας διαπολιτισμικές αξίες και ενισχύοντας δράσεις - εντός και εκτός της σχολικής αίθουσας.

Μαθησιακοί στόχοι
- Παρουσίαση της έννοιας του "Ενεργού Πολίτη" και των βασικών αρχών και αξιών του.
- Υπογράμμιση της σημασίας της συμμετοχής στις εκλογές για τη διατήρηση των δημοκρατικών κοινωνιών και την καθιέρωση της ενεργούς πολιτειότητας ως καθημερινή πρακτική.
- Εξοικείωση των εκπαιδευομένων με τις έννοιες της συμμετοχικής δημοκρατίας και της λήψης αποφάσεων ως τα σημαντικότερα εργαλεία των Ευρωπαίων πολιτών για την ανάληψη πρωτοβουλιών και την πρόταση νομοθεσίας σε πολιτικές που επηρεάζουν τη ζωή τους.

Τι είναι η ενεργός ευρωπαϊκή πολιτειότητα;
Η Ενεργός Ευρωπαϊκή Πολιτειότητα αναφέρεται στη συμμετοχή των ατόμων στην πολιτική και δημοκρατική ζωή της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης (ΕΕ), τόσο σε εθνικό όσο και σε ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο. Πρόκειται για την ενεργό συμμετοχή στη διαμόρφωση των κοινωνιών στις οποίες ζούμε - όχι μόνο μέσω της ψήφου, αλλά και μέσω της συμμετοχής σε κοινοτικές δράσεις, δημόσιο διάλογο, εθελοντισμό και υπεράσπιση σε ευρωπαϊκό πλαίσιο.

👩🏫 Ο ρόλος των εκπαιδευτικών στην ανάπτυξη της ενεργού ευρωπαϊκής πολιτειότητας
- Διδασκαλία των πολιτικών και ευρωπαϊκών αξιών
- Οι εκπαιδευτικοί βοηθούν τους/τις μαθητές/τριες να κατανοήσουν βασικές αξίες όπως η δημοκρατία, τα ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα, η ισότητα, η αλληλεγγύη και ο σεβασμός της διαφορετικότητας - οι οποίες αποτελούν επίσης βασικές αξίες της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης.
- Εισάγουν τους/τις μαθητές/τριες στην έννοια της ευρωπαϊκής ταυτότητας προωθώντας την ενότητα και τη συνεργασία στην Ευρώπη.

2. Παροχή γνώσεων για τα ευρωπαϊκά θεσμικά όργανα και δικαιώματα
- Οι εκπαιδευτικοί ενημερώνουν τους/τις μαθητές/τριες τους για τα θεσμικά όργανα της ΕΕ, τα δικαιώματα των πολιτών και τον τρόπο με τον οποίο οι ευρωπαϊκές αποφάσεις επηρεάζουν τη ζωή τους.
- Εξηγούν πώς οι μαθητές/τριες μπορούν να συμμετέχουν σε ευρωπαϊκές δημοκρατικές διαδικασίες (όπως η ψηφοφορία ή η Ευρωπαϊκή Πρωτοβουλία Πολιτών), όταν φτάσουν στην κατάλληλη ηλικία.

3. Ενθάρρυνση της κριτικής σκέψης και συζήτησης
- Οι εκπαιδευτικοί δημιουργούν ένα περιβάλλον στην τάξη όπου οι μαθητές/τριες μπορούν να συζητούν τα τρέχοντα γεγονότα, να εκφράζουν απόψεις και να ακούνε τους άλλους με σεβασμό.
- Αυτό βοηθάει τους/τις μαθητές/τριες να γίνουν πιο στοχαστικοί, ενήμεροι πολίτες, ικανοί να διαμορφώνουν τις δικές τους απόψεις και να αναλαμβάνουν υπεύθυνη δράση.

4. Προώθηση της συμμετοχής και της δέσμευσης
- Οι εκπαιδευτικοί υποστηρίζουν τους/τις μαθητές/τριες να συμμετάσχουν σε σχολικά συμβούλια, κοινοτικά προγράμματα ή κοινοβούλια νέων.
- Μπορούν επίσης να καθοδηγήσουν τους/τις μαθητές/τριες στη διοργάνωση εκστρατειών ευαισθητοποίησης, στον εθελοντισμό ή στη συμμετοχή σε προγράμματα της ΕΕ, όπως το Erasmus+ ή το eTwinning.

- Οι εκπαιδευτικοί ενσωματώνουν ευρωπαϊκά θέματα σε μαθήματα όπως η ιστορία, η γεωγραφία, οι γλώσσες και οι κοινωνικές σπουδές.
- Επισημαίνουν τις διασυνδέσεις μεταξύ τοπικών και παγκόσμιων θεμάτων, ενθαρρύνοντας τους μαθητές/τριες να σκέφτονται ως εθνικοί και ευρωπαίοι πολίτες.

- Μέσω του διαλόγου με σεβασμό, της υπευθυνότητας των πολιτών και της ηθικής συμπεριφοράς, οι εκπαιδευτικοί αποτελούν πρότυπο για τη στάση και τις πράξεις που συνοδεύουν την ενεργό πολιτειότητα.
- Δείχνουν στους μαθητές/τριες πώς να είναι αφοσιωμένα μέλη τόσο στην τοπική τους κοινότητας όσο και στην ευρωπαϊκή οικογένεια.
