Parent teacher conferences
Monday and Tuesday, November 10 and 11.
Cooperative Sports Activities
Sports at SBCC are activities in which students work as a team, cooperating and developing strategies to help their group win. At the same time, they'll be working on the values that they have learned in class for living well together: tolerance, acceptance , listening and respecting each other.
Swimming
As part of their physical education and sports program, and with the aim of teaching students to adapt to different types of environment and to master the aquatic environment for safe swimming, the students will be going to Julius Boehm Pool, Issaquah in November and December.
The library
For French books: every Thursday. For English books: every Tuesday. Please make sure books are in the backpack the day before.
Swimming
Every Thursday, bring the bag with all the equipment you need for the pool.
SBCC
Every Wednesday: Please wear sports clothes.
English projects:
Period 2
This upcoming period we have a handful of different upcoming projects. With the end of the calendar year upon us, we will be working on a lot of holiday related projects and cultural moments. We will be working on more multiplication and division skills, while adding on to our math solving abilities by working on word problems.

Our projects
In the second period of the year we are continuing to work on a variety of different projects. In math, we are starting to practice our times tables and working towards understanding the concept of division. For writing we are working on grammar and sentence structure. We will do more and more writing in this period. We are finishing up our study of salmon and transitioning to Native Americans. Lastly, we are continueing to work on Social Emotional Learning. We have talked a lot about emotions and learned several techniques to calm and focus ourselfves when we we are feeling disregulated. Ask your child to share some of their new skills at home.
