INTRODUCERE
Cetățenia activă europeană consolidează democrația, promovează unitatea în diversitate și garantează că politicile UE reflectă vocile și nevoile cetățenilor săi. Aceasta le permite indivizilor să contribuie la modelarea viitorului Europei - nu doar ca rezidenți ai propriilor țări, ci și ca membri ai unei comunități europene comune.
Profesorii contribuie la formarea tinerilor în cetățeni europeni activi, responsabili și implicați. Ei fac acest lucru prin predarea cunoștințelor, încurajarea participării, promovarea valorilor și inspirarea acțiunii - în sala de clasă și dincolo de aceasta.

- Introducerea conceptului de „Cetățenie activă” și a principiilor și valorilor sale fundamentale.
- Susținerea importanței votului în menținerea societăților democratice și transformarea cetățeniei active într-o realitate a practicii cotidiene.
- Familiarizarea cursanților cu conceptele de democrație participativă și luarea deciziilor ca fiind cele mai importante instrumente ale cetățenilor europeni pentru a lua inițiative și a propune legislație în politici care le afectează viața.
- Sublinierea rolului educației în cetățenia activă.

Ce este Cetățenia Europeană Activă?
Cetățenia activă europeană se referă la participarea indivizilor la viața civică și democratică a Uniunii Europene (UE), atât la nivel național, cât și european. Este vorba despre implicarea activă în modelarea societăților în care trăim — nu doar prin vot, ci și prin implicarea în acțiuni comunitare, dezbateri publice, voluntariat și advocacy într-un context european.

- Predarea valorilor civice și europene
- Profesorii îi ajută pe elevi să înțeleagă valori fundamentale precum democrația, drepturile omului, egalitatea, solidaritatea și respectul pentru diversitate - care sunt, de asemenea, valori cheie ale Uniunii Europene.
- Aceștia îi introduc pe elevi în conceptul de identitate europeană, încurajând mândria față de moștenirea națională, promovând în același timp unitatea și cooperarea în Europa.

- Profesorii creează un mediu de clasă în care elevii pot discuta evenimentele actuale, pot exprima opinii și pot asculta pe ceilalți cu respect.

4. Promovarea participării și a implicării
- Profesorii îi sprijină pe elevi în aderarea la consiliile școlare, proiectele comunitare sau parlamentele tinerilor.
- De asemenea, aceștia pot îndruma elevii în organizarea de campanii de conștientizare, voluntariat sau participarea la programe UE precum Erasmus+ sau eTwinning.
