Kapur took a creative writing class at Longfellow Middle School, allowing her to hone her writing skills and express her ideas freely.

No Shame Performances

Kapur began performing at No Shame open mics when she entered high school, allowing her to gain confidence in public speaking. These performaces are where she performed many of the peices found in her book, I am not a Poet

Falling to Peices, Artfully

Falling to Peices, Arfully is one of Kapur's favorite writings. Originally meant for spoken word poetry, the piece aims to break down the steryotype around emotionally tortured artists and emphasize that anyone can be an artist.

I am Not a Poet is published!

Kapur published her first book, I am not a Poet on July 23, 2025. At the end, she acknowledges English teacher Amber Smith for being one of her biggest mentors. Kapur named the book, I am not a Poet to show that writing is not about labels but, it is about authenticity and self-expression.
