Warped Wall
It wouldn't be ninja without the Warped Wall. As one of the oldest and most challenging obstacles, it has become a defining feature of the course. Competitors must sprint up the curved quarter-pipe and grab the top edge to pull themselves over. It's typically the final obstacle standing between them and the buzzer.
Log Grip
The Log Grip tests a competitor's upper and lower body strength as they cling to a large, rotating log. Measuring two feet in thickness, the log carries competitors down a 29.5-foot track before they must dismount onto the landing platform. This obstacle typically appears around second or third in the course.
Salmon Ladder
The Salmon Ladder demands tremendous upper-body strength, as competitors must grip a bar that rests loosely on two parallel rungs and use immense power to lift and catch it higher up each time. To add to the challenge, the bar isn't secured to the wall, meaning one wrong move can send it falling.
Jumping Spider
The Jumping Spider requires athletes to sprint down a long runway to gain momentum before launching off a mini trampoline and positioning themselves between two walls. If successful, they must press their hands and feet against the four-foot-wide walls and carefully shimmy their way to the end of the obstacle.
Quintuple Steps
The quintuple steps have been a staple obstacle since Season 1. Competitors must dash across five angled steps to reach the landing platform. This challenge tests foot speed, agility, and balance, all combined into one. It typically appears at the start of the course.
