Take notes during your research, especially on any key facts or points you want to discuss with your partner. Don’t forget to note down any challenging or new vocabulary.

Write and share your questions

Write your questions in ESPAñOL

Share Your Topic and Questions with Your Exchange Partner It is essential that your exchange partner knows your chosen topic and questions in advance so that they can research and prepare their responses. Your discussion will be the second video call of the exchange.

Your questions should be well-formulated and specific to the aspect of the topic you’ve investigated. This will help your partner provide clear and detailed responses. Avoid vague or overly general questions.

Prepare at least five questions about the topic you've researched.

Send a clear, concise message to your partner, letting them know about your chosen topic, and the questions.
Deadline : 10th November

Your partner should also send you their topic and questions in advance. YOU DO NOT NEED TO WORK ON THE SAME TOPIC! The questions will be answered during the videocall, not before .

Before the video call, look for any information about your partner's topic. You will likely not know the answers without looking up information and doing a little research.

Preparing for the videocall - Once you receive your partner's topic, you should conduct brief research to prepare yourself for the conversation and to provide answers to the questions they send you. All of this will be done during the video call. - Make sure you understand the topic well. If you have any doubts, consult additional sources or prepare some questions to clarify any points that are unclear. - The research and answering of your partner’s questions will be done in your native language (ENGLISH) during the video call.

Prepare for the video call

Have the video call

During the videocall, ensure you ask the questions you've prepared when it’s your turn (using your second language), and assist your partner during their turn (using your native language) by clarifying any difficult aspects.

Listen carefully to your partner's answers, and if necessary, ask follow-up questions to deepen the discussion.

Record audio/video on the call and upload the file or a link by November 24th.

After the video call, reflect on your partner's answers.

Review the questions you sent them and incorporate the information you gathered during your conversation. Did their answers help you understand the topic better? Do you have more questions you would like to research? Submit a document with your questions and the responses collected during the video call, along with a link to the recording to the assignment link on Brightspace.
