Problem Context
PBS Wisconsin produces a growing amount of audio content.
Currently, the quality assurance process requires hours of time to manually listen to audio files to identify problems before delivery to the audience.
Our solution:
Project Purpose
To design and build an automated tool that can analyze audio files and flag potential problems, which include:
Extended silence Audio clipping/distortion Loudness compliance Inconsistent loudness levels (LUFS) Noise (e.g. hiss, clicking)
Project Purpose
We will develop a web-based platform where users can upload audio files for quality assurance analysis. The system will then process the audio and generate a report that flags issues.
This will cut down on hours spent by humans going over audio files. Instead of hiring someone else to do it, we can use the automation to do the work and in turn, minimize human error.
