Hello Explorers Families The first period has come to an end incredibly quickly. Our students have worked hard learning the classroom procedures and guidelines as well as thos of the school. In one period, they have grown and matured a lot. We completed many interesting activities in P1: First, we worked on emotions. Students learned how to identify and express their feelings. They also learned how to start managing these emotions. We worked on utilizing various breathing techniques when we need to regulate ourselves as well as effective conflict resolution using the Message Clair technique. After studying the life cycle of salmon in class, the students had the chance to visit the Issaquah Hatchery. There, they discovered more about salmon reproduction and their life cycle here in the Pacific Northwest.. Author Sylvie Joseph-Julien visited the Grade 3 students. Together, they took part in a creative activity during which they imagined and invented the continuation of a comic strip. Our class delegates are Charlotte and Darsh and our Green School representative is Lilian.
