Background
All the contestants were at the dress rehearsal for the movie awards show. No one knew who was going to win. The producers of the show taught the contestants how to walk up to the stage, accept their award, and give a short and simple speech. However, they realized one contestant was missing. Her name was Riley Benet. The final part of the dress rehearsal was about to end when each contestant was shown their own dressing room. Three contestants stuck back stage to grab the card that would tell if they won or lost. Philip Lombard, Emily Brent, and Anthony Marston were staring at the card with very mixed emotions.

WHat happened to Riley?
The time was 8:23 A.M. when Riley woke up suddenly. She looked at her clock on her bedside table. She jumped out of bed, running with her suitcase, and she fell down each stair one by one until she reached the bottom. Her flight left at 8:45 A.M., and she was at least 15 minutes away from the airport. When she finally got there and through security, it was too late; the time read 8:52 A.M. She saw the plane there; it was almost like it had waited for her. She started walking onto the platform, but the airport staff stopped her. They told her she could not get on, and she would have to catch the next one at 4:30 P.M. The dress rehearsal started at 12:00 P.M. and ended at 1:30 P.M.

Riley rushed into the building. There were four hours until the show. When she threw open the stage door, she heard a loud thud. When she looked in that direction, she saw a shattered vase and next to it Anthony Marston, who was on the floor, dead. "Riley killed Anthony Marston with a door!" Emily Brent screamed. "It was an accident, I promise!" Riley cried. Riley thought that she only heard a thud not a shatter of glass.

The auditorium
Riley walked into her dressing room. She heard a scream come from the auditorium. She rushed to the stage, and so did the others. They saw Philip Lombard on the ground, dead. It looked like he was pushed off the balcony that was three stories tall. Riley tried to ease her thoughts, thinking he could have accidentally fallen off.

THe friends
Riley and Mckenzie had becoming good friends over the years. They used to go to school together and had a lot in common. Riley was always with Mckenzie around the set of the show. When Riley was alone she would always have her dressing room door closed and locked. When she was trying to figure out hair styles Riley called Mckenzie. "Can I come over to your dressing room real quick?" Mckenzie asked. "Sure!" Riley replied excietly. She heard footsteps on the phone, but then it suddenly went quiet. She heard a loud crash and a scream. "Mckenzie! Mckenzie!" Riley screamed.

Riley was in her room terrifyied. She couldn't move, she was to scared. When she finally got the nearve she walked out slowely and saw Mckenzie who was crushed by a spotlight. When Riley finally got the door unlocked she saw Vera on the floor. Her lip stick was on the lid of the cup. It looked like she took one sip of coffee. Emily Brent was walking in the hallway."Hey, Riley can I go look at the makeup you have in your dressing room?" She questioned. "Are you the murderer?" Riley asked her. "No, are you?" Emily replied. "If you are not and I am not who is?" Riley said. "Isen't it obvious it's Vera" She wispered.
