TO BE
We use the verb to be to talk about who or what someone or something is, its state, condition, or identity
To form the present simple of to be, we do: subject + am/is/are
HAVE/HAS GOT
We use have/has got to talk about possession
To form have/has got, we do: subject + have/has + got + object
PRESENT SIMPLE
We use the present simple to talk about daily activities, habits, general truths
To form the present simple, we do: subject + verb (base form), adding -s or -es for the third-person singular
PRESENT CONTINUOS
We use the present continuous to talk about an action happening at the moment of speaking or for a temporary period around the present time
To form the present continuous, we do: subject + present of to be + verb + -ing
PAST SIMPLE
We use the past simple to talk about actions that were completely concluded in the past at a specific point in time
To form the past simple, we do: subject + verb + -ed (for regular verbs) or use the second form of the irregular verb
BE GOING TO
We use be going to to talk about future plans, intentions, a<nd predictions based on present evidence
To form< be going to, we do: subject + present of to be + going to + verb (base form)
MUST/HAVE TO
We use must to talk about a strong, internal obligation or a personal necessity, often reflecting the speaker's own feelings. It is also used for rules or laws in formal written notices. The negative form, mustn't, expresses a strict prohibition.
To form must, we use Subject + must + base form of the verb
