6. scholarship testing
The scholarship assessment process for Sixth Form takes place late November, for the following September entry. Those wishing to apply for a place without a scholarship will be asked to come in and complete a CAT4 test on an individual basis.

A preparation booklet will be sent to new students just before the summer holidays, this will include reading lists.

Enquire about a place in our Sixth Form via the online form on our website. This will also allow you to book onto one of our weekly Friday Open Mornings (term-time only).
5. reference requested
At this stage of the admissions process, we request a reference from the applicants current school.
2. handbooks
Our admissions team will be in touch to let you when the updated parent handbook has been uploaded to your portal account (around Easter). The parent handbook will include all key school information, including the Sixth Form dress code guidelines and information on ordering the PE kit
4. taster day
Once registered there is an option to arrange a taster day for your daughter. This is the perfect opportunity to get a feel for what life is like at Burgess Hill Girls and why this would be the best fit. Please contact our Admissions team if you would be interested in arranging this.

1. online portal
Once you have accepted your place we will set you up with a parent portal account, our admissions team will notify you when key information for your daughter’s entry point has been uploaded. You will later will be able to use your portal account to view invoices.
9. first day of term
Students should head straight to their form room, where they will be given their timetable. All students should bring their PE kit in for their first day.
Once term has started you will begin to receive a weekly newsletter (Bmail) every Friday. This will contain all key school communications moving forward.
3. register
If, following your visit, you wish to register an application you will need to complete a registration form. You will also be required to arrange payment of the £180 registration fee (inclusive of VAT). The deadline to apply is mid-November for the following September.

Join us every Friday morning to discover life at Burgess Hill Girls. Meet our Senior Leadership Team, enjoy a student-led tour of our campus, and visit our Information Hub to speak with key staff. We also host a Sixth Form Open Evening every October. To arrange an individual appointment, please complete our Enquiry Form.
7. place outcome
Place and scholarship outcomes will be communicated by early/mid December. If you have made a bursary application then we aim to provide the outcome at the same time, but it may come at a later date
8. club information
Co-curricular clubs are booked through SOCS, the sign-up window opens in July/August. Information on how to use SOCS can be found here.
8. acceptance
The acceptance deadline is early January. In order to accept an offer of a place, we must receive a £500 deposit, completed acceptance form and copy of the applicants birth certificate.
3. electronic forms
Before your daughter joins Burgess Hill Girls there will be some electronic forms to complete on your parent portal account. The admissions form, medical form and photography consent form are all mandatory, and our admissions team will let you know when to complete these.
5. sixth form induction
All students joining the Sixth Form this September will be invited to our Induction Day in June. It’s an opportunity to experience life in the Sixth Form, meet new classmates and staff, explore the facilities, and feel fully prepared for the start of the new term.

Please email transport@burgesshillgirls.com to register your interest in the transport service by the end of June.
