Why do we celebrate halloween?
cAREFULL
In ancient Celtic times, there were pagan festivals of Samhain, which marked the transition between summer and winter, and it was believed that the barriers between the world of the living and the dead blended.
fright!
It was believed that during the night of September 31st to 1st, the dead returned to Earth and evil spirits too, so they lit bonfires, wore costumes and made offerings to ward off evil.
why we say trick or treat
01
On Halloween, we say "trick or treat," and this phrase originated in North America. Children ask for candy and, if they don't get it, threaten to play tricks. This tradition has roots in medieval European customs, such as "souling," where people received food in exchange for prayers for the dead.
a question

So here goes.
