The Perks of being a wallflower

Curvatura: Giornalismo e Criminologia

"I'm not going to let you be a wallflower. I know you're not a wallflower. You're beautiful."

Book

Written by Chbosky, Stephen (American novelist, screenwriter, and film director) and published in 1999, "The Perks of being a Wallflower" is an intimate journey into adolescence, mental health, and finding where you belong. The story is told through a series of letters written by Charlie Kelmeckis, a sensitive and introverted high school freshman who is struggling to cope with personal trauma and depression. Charlie feels invisible until he meets the charismatic stepsiblings, Sam and Patrick, who introduce him to a world of mix tapes, late-night drives, and unexpected friendship.
