Syphilis is diagnosed through a combination of clinical examination and laboratory tests. In the early stages, syphilis is treated with a single injection of benzathine penicillin G. In later stages, it is treated with three weekly injections of benzathine penicillin G Neurosyphilis is treated with intravenous penicillin for 14-21 days
