Introduction
In our previous discussion, we looked at which group of 4Cs we thought would be more efficient for us to use in technology. For me, I decided to choose Creation, Consumption, Curation and Connection. These four resonated with me as being an Art History major before pursuing this degree, these four concepts were a huge part of how I studied. Now as I move forward with my educational journey, I want to use these same concepts in teaching students and want to share how these concepts can help to increase student participation and involvement in and out of the classroom
The 4Cs
Curation
Connection
Consumption
Creation
The act of using something until it is gone or significantly depleted
The Action or Process of bringing Something into Existence
a relationship in which a person, thing, or idea is linked or associated with something else
the action or process of selecting, organizing, and looking after the items in a collection or exhibition

Creation
With the help of technology, students can find more ways to become creative while writing or sharing their thoughts. I feel that some ways I can use technology to help with this include group discussions that focus on scholarly articles. This allows for students to write their reactions to the reading and share their own thoughts on what is being argued. I also want to create presentation assignments that students can make to show that they are looking for scholarly sources and employing them in their own work, allowing them to open their minds to what sources can help them, and how they can incorporate them later on.
Like anything that has to do with art, creativity is an important aspect of displaying one's opinions and thoughts. And in Art history, these ideas rely on sharing arguments on works, and backing them up with scholarly resources. I found that creativity has always been of great importance for me, writing my own unique ideas and thoughts, and I think all students should as well. But to prepare for that, students need to work on assignments that allow them to build their knowledge on how to write scholarly work. And this can be hard for students if they do not know how to share their own thoughts with others in an effective way.

Consumption
As a student, I found that consuming a lot of knowledge in a short period of time was extremely important. Having to take a major comprehensive exam later in my program, I had to find ways to make sure that I gained the knowledge of the works I was studying and remember them for the final exam. Fortunately, I was able to have access to study materials via the library, but some students have trouble using regular books or even getting to a local library to get study materials. This is why using technology in a classroom environment can be useful for consuming information, as it allows for easier access to materials and easier ways to study and practice for upcoming exams.
One way that I would implement technology to help with this is using ebooks instead of textbooks. Ebooks allow students to have access more easily, and have the ability to highlight more effectively. Ebooks also allow to scan through more effectively too, rather than flipping through multiple pages, this saves time and helps student study more efficiently. Helping students to consume more information in an effective way, helps them to study more and gain better grades in coursework.

Curation
One way that I can incorporate technology into this is by having students write out annotated bibliographies for their major work. This allows students to not only list the works that they found, but also to write out a short but still important 100 word or so response to what the source is about, and how it relates back to their topic. This allows students to look online through scholarly articles and create their own type of curation, sharing with others what they found and how it helps them to write what will be their work.
In the art world, curating is a very big task as curators are tasked with setting up either exhibitions or shows for the public to view. But as teachers, we also are able to curate, but not with works of art, but rather with content that focuses on a certain theme. Both teachers and students can curate a variety of resources from articles to multimedia to deeper their understanding of a certain topic as well as provide context to what they are studying or teaching.

Connection
There are many ways that technology can be used to help build connections, from apps such as zoom and teams that allow us to connect virtually with others, to creating discussion groups so students can share thoughts and opinions together. Building connections do not happen immediately in a single day, and that is why we need to build up spaces so they can grow and develop, and eventually become sufficient for everyone.
In the world of art history, connections are a very powerful tool. They allow us to keep in contact with fellow like-minded people who share a similar interest in what we are looking at. And just like with art history, students need to have solid connections too, both with other students, as well as their teachers. And technology definitely has opened up new ways for students to connect and establish new relationships.

Conclusions
Helping students build online connections, builds their confidence in real-life relationships..
Allowing students to curate their sources, gives them a head start in writing something bigger.
Helping students consume more knowledge, helps them prepare more efficiently.
Creating online spaces where students can share thoughts and opinions together, helps gain understanding
