Most Bedouins are Muslim and practice their faith alongside strong tribal customs. Family, honor, and hospitality are central values.
Bedouin food is simple, traditional, and made with natural ingredients.
Common dishes include rice, lamb, yogurt, and flatbread baked over fire. Meals are often cooked slowly and shared with guests, showing the Bedouin value of hospitality

Muhammad al-Atrash was a Bedouin Israeli tracker in the IDF, serving in the Gaza Division. On October 7, he was kidnapped by Hamas during the brutal attack near Holit. Muhammad was married to two women and had 13 children, the youngest just a few months old.
On October 15, 2025, during a ceasefire, his body was returned to Israel. His uncle said:
“Every day, the children ask when their father is coming home. We still don’t have the words.”
