The first step in the 4 step training method is TELL. In this video example, the certified team trainer is telling the Trainee how they answer the phone using the correct procedure.
The second step is to SHOW the trainee the correct procedure. Modeling the expected procedure allows for the trainee to see it done correctly.
The third step is to DO. Allowing the Trainee an opportunity to DO the procedure and ask questions about the process gives them the best opportunity to replicate the correct procedure moving forward.
Finally, allow the opportunity for the Trainee to teach it back to you as if they are the Team Trainer. This helps to solidify the learning.
