Slope
Slope can be calculated by drawing a slope triangle and then counting from one point to the next. The slope of the line of the right is 1 third.

#4
The green points would be good points for a slope triangle since they cross the background grid at an exact corner.
The red points are not good points, since they only are on only one background grid line.
#5
Dilation
A dilation is a transformation in which each point on a figure moves along a line and changes its distance from a fixed point. The fixed point is the center of the dilation. All of the original distances are multiplied by the same scale factor.
Scale Factor
To create a scaled copy, you multiply all the distances in the original figure by the same number. This number is called the scale factor.
Center of Dilation
The center of dilation is a fixed point on a plane. It is the starting point from which you measure distances in a dilation.
Concentric Circles
Concentric circles are a series of circles inside one another with a shared center, also the center of dilation.
Similar
Two figures are similar if one can fit exactly over the other after rigid transformations and dilations.
Slope
The slope of a line is a number you can calculate using any two points on the line. To find the slope, divide the vertical distance between the points by the horizontal distance.
