The curse of the withered bloom

Gator Blooms

Introduction

The door to Gator Blooms groans open. A chill moves through the air, though not a single fan is running. The flowers on display… aren’t just wilted. They're gray. As if all color has been drained from them. A whisper travels through the stems, soft but unmistakable: “Balance must be restored… or all beauty will fade.” You look around. Vines curl along the walls like skeletal fingers. Something is watching. Something ancient. Something floral.

Damp fog clings to your skin as you step inside. At first, the greenhouse looks empty. But then you hear it — a rustling. Not from the wind… but from the flowers themselves. They lift their wilted heads toward you. Petals crumbling. Stems trembling. A voice echoes from somewhere deep in the vines: “To restore life… you must know what flowers are made of. The Elements are the roots of all beauty.”

A branch covered in needles scrapes across a silk ribbon, producing an eerie hiss. The textures clash like two spirits trapped in the same room.

03

You see a round bouquet suspended in the air, turning slowly. It is perfect in shape — but frozen as if time refuses to touch it.

Something went wrong…

One mirror shows a sunflower slowly bowing, petals falling in rhythmic sequence — like a heartbeat fading. A floral arrangement draws your eye from a large sunflower down to smaller carnations. Which principle is at work?
02

Two arrangements sit on opposite tables — one perfectly balanced, one collapsing. The collapsing one twitches, trying to fix itself, as though alive.

03

In the largest mirror, a single red rose glows with fierce, dramatic attention. Everything else fades to dull gray around it.

This room is silent. Completely, painfully silent. The air feels heavy — like it’s waiting for you. Floating in the center of the room is a cracked glass vase. Inside is a single black rose, its petals falling in slow motion, never hitting the floor. A voice — different this time — warm, familiar, hopeful: “You are so close… Restore harmony and the curse will lift.

A Vase Appears

It looks like there is water inside. Do you have something in your inventory that belongs in the vase?

Oops… the curse is taking over.

Your memories dissolve and the path disappears. Return before the echo follows you…

Congratulations

The flower blooms back into full color — deep crimson. Light floods the shop. Warm. Beautiful. Alive again.
