Module 1: History, Events, Services & Programs
Think about what services or programs you'd like to help with!
2000–2007: Our Roots Take Hold
Growmore Gardens began as a tiny nursery with a big heart. Inspired by family and community, Ella Holloran built a place where people could connect through plants and purpose. Just seven years later, her vision bloomed into a 10-acre home where growth and inclusion thrived.
UN Fun Fact: Our first breakroom had one desk, two chairs, and no window!
Module 2: Mission, Vision, Values & Ecological Impact
Understand why what we do is is so important to our community and how your daily work supports our biodiversity goals.
We're helping keep the planet beautiful!
2010–2012: Growing Together Through Learning & Celebration
Our festivals and workshops have become traditions of learning and joy. People of all ages come together to share gardening tips, create pollinator gardens, and celebrate nature side by side. When we grow together, we all flourish!
Fun Fact: Our first DIY workshop was so popular we had a waitlist of 20 people the same day!
2026 : A Flourishing Future
The future is bright! We’re expanding with 60–80 new team members and aim to be the top employer for individuals with disabilities in the state. Every seed we plant today fosters a more biodiverse, inclusive, and sustainable tomorrow — and you’re part of it!
Our new locations at Willow Ridge, Cypress Creek, and Magnolia Market will enhance our mission of promoting biodiversity and inclusion for many years!
Module 5: Career Pathways, Roles & Onboarding Next Steps
Explore roles, growth opportunities and your 30-day onboarding plan to help your career blossom.
What does your 5-year plan look like?
2017: Greening Our Community
With help from our community, we turned an empty lot into a living sanctuary for pollinators and people alike. This green space showed what can happen when creativity and care come together to heal the earth.
Fun Fact: The green space won Savannah’s “Community Beautification Award” that same year!
Ella Holloran, Founder & CEO of Growmore Gardens
Ella Holloran is the founder and CEO of Growmore Gardens, a nonprofit focused on ecological sustainability, inclusion, and community well-being through plants. Her passion for nature began in childhood, helping her grandmother in the garden, which led her to earn a degree in horticulture. In 2000, she established Growmore Gardens to restore biodiversity, create accessible green spaces, and offer employment opportunities for all abilities. What started as a single community plot has grown into a network of nurseries and educational programs supporting pollinator health and environmental stewardship. Under Ella's leadership, Growmore is known for its workshops and inclusive initiatives, embodying her belief that “every seed we plant is an act of hope.”
Module 4: Our Policies, Safety & Benefits
Learn about key policies, like attendance, PTO, dress code, safety compliance, and understand what's available in your benefits package.
