History Of twix
History of Twix
Twix was first introduced in the late 1960s and quickly gained populatiry for its combination of crunch and cream. the bar was designed to offer both texture and flavor in each bite. Over the years, Twix became known for its twin-stick formate (two identical bars in one package) By the 1990s annd 2000s, Twix had ecpanded into various falvors and limited editios like peanut butter, white chocolate, and cookie dough. Today, Twix remains one of the most best selling chocolate bars in the world.

Owner/Location
Twix was produced by Mars, a global confectionery company known for creating many popular chocolate brands. Twix was first manufactured in the United Kingdom, where it quickly became a favorite before expanding to other parts of the world. Eventually, Twix was introduced to the United States, becoming one of Mars' most succesful chocolate bars. Overtime, Twix is now being produced in multipule countries, with major factoreis located across Europe and North America.
SOURCING
Palm Oil : Sourced from certified sustainable sources, primarily Malaysia, under Mars' responsible palm oil produciton - which ensures it's made on sustainable farms that avoid deforestation and protect wildlife
Sourcing
Flour : Sourced from local and regional mills near Twix manufacturing plants in Europe and North America to reduce transportation time
Milk/Dairy : Sourced from nearby dairy farms and producers, which supply milk powder and dairy solids used in the caramel and chocolate
Sugar : Sourced from Sugar beat and Sugar cane suppliers in both Europe and North America
Cocoa : Mainly sourced from Ivory Coast, and Indonesia, through Mars' responsibly sourced cocoa program
Bean to bar
Bean To Bar
Twix bean to bar process starts with cocoa beans grown in Indosesia and the Ivory Coast. The beans are then harvested, fermented, and dried before being shipped to factories. Then they get roasted to bring out thir flaver, the outer shells are removed to get the cocoa nibs, then the nibs are ground into cocoa mass, which is then seperated into cocoa butter and powder. Those ingredients are mixed with sufar, milk and other ingredients to get chocolate.
