In inglese l’imperativo si usa nella forma affermativa per dare ISTRUZIONI o ORDINI e nella forma negativa per i DIVIETI. In entrambi i casi non si mette il soggetto.No panic! Nulla di più facile!La forma affermativa è uguale alla forma base del verbo ed è uguale al singolare e al plurale: Es. Stop there! (Fermo/fermi li!) La forma negativa si ottiene mettendo Don’t davanti alla forma base del verbo. Es. Don’t open the door! (Non aprire/non aprite la porta!) Don’t worry! (Non preoccuparti!) There’s a subway station 100 metres from the exit, on the right. C’è una fermata della metro a 100 metri dall’uscita, sulla destra. The restaurant is 100 meters from here, you can walk. Il ristorante è a 100 metri da qui, può andare a piedi. To the subway turn left and follow the signs. Per la metro giri a sinistra e segua le direzioni.

In inglese l’imperativo si usa nella forma affermativa per dare ISTRUZIONI o ORDINI e nella forma negativa per i DIVIETI. In entrambi i casi non si mette il soggetto.No panic!
