What did we do? The challenge was to create a unique and unified identity across all the countries where we operate (Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, England, Italy, Ireland, and Sweden) to engage and inspire volunteers while externally showcasing the positive impact of their actions, building trust and credibility in each region. To achieve this, we developed an internal communication cycle designed to invite participation, express gratitude, and highlight volunteer impact, contributing to the overall success of the program. With a strategic approach aligned with corporate pillars (yet humble, clear, and human), we crafted original narratives through videos and other content. These materials also serve partner NGOs as high-quality assets to share on their own channels, helping them convey their mission through their collaboration with Amazon Web Services.

ResultThanks to this communication strategy, we strengthened the volunteering culture among employees and fostered stronger connections with social organizations, enhancing the positive impact within the communities where Amazon operates.

What did we do?We couldn´t feel more connected to this challenge, as Volies and its audiovisual team have Valencian hearts. That´s why we suggested creating a mini-serie of videos telling the restoring process of the area through the actions of Endesa´s volunteers. In each episode, the volunteers themselves tell their collaboration, being narrators of this story of reconstruction and creating an inspiring audiovisual legacy.

What did we do? Aware of the mobilizing power of communication, we collaborated with Ayuda en Acción to design a variety of initiatives on current topics for Millennials and Gen Z, ranging from webinars and talks to the production of the CtrlZ podcast. We developed the podcast’s branding, managed pre-production, proposed experts, coordinated participants, and oversaw the technical production of each episode. Additionally, we created content specifically for this generation, addressing social issues such as unwanted loneliness among young people, sustainable action, work culture, and eco-anxiety. These topics are explored in depth with experts and influencers, with young people themselves taking center stage as protagonists.

ResultsThe creation of a unique space for youth, featuring highly engaging content in a popular format, giving them the opportunity to take center stage while raising awareness of the world’s most pressing social and environmental challenges, and fostering a committed community ready to participate actively.

What did we do? We designed the stand set up on the Repsol Campus, where the volunteer activity took place and was visited by over 300 volunteers. The stand featured dynamic counters and materials to raise awareness of the initiative while fostering collaboration and teamwork among employees. Additionally, we managed the design and logistics of the energy efficiency kits, which included power strips, timers, LED light bulbs, and window weatherstripping — items that improve home energy efficiency and save around €350 per year. In terms of design and production, we created the kit boxes, assembly instructions, and other creative awareness-raising items, such as magnets with energy-saving tips.

ResultsA high-impact volunteer initiative involving complex production and coordination, which, thanks to its effective planning and execution, achieved its goal: supporting over 3,900 individuals and promoting the energy transition.

What did we do? To achieve this, we organized a live-streamed talk with Víctor Küppers on the impact of volunteering, broadcast simultaneously across all headquarters. We also created an inclusive experience at each location, involving beneficiaries from various NGOs to celebrate the day together and foster a deep connection with the event’s purpose. To further enhance the awards ceremony for the most committed volunteers, we produced trophies with social impact that not only recognized their dedication but also helped change lives through the NGO Ayudáme3D.

ResultsA recognition event that brought together over 400 volunteers, inspiring emotion, motivation, and pride in the company’s commitment to volunteering.

GRACIAS A TI, ENDESA PROJECT

Every year, Fundación Endesa hosts its Gracias a ti (Thanks To You) event to recognize the work of its volunteers. As a partner in their volunteering program, we collaborated in organizing the event, providing volunteers with a unique experience. The challenge was to ensure that every volunteer across Spain received the same recognition and could celebrate the value of volunteering at the seven regional headquarters: Madrid, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Zaragoza, Las Palmas, and Seville.

What did we do? We combined our communication expertise with volunteering to create spaces that energized the community, fostered social and solidarity engagement, and encouraged active participation. To achieve this, we produced a podcast, online events, workshops, and webinars to promote causes with a positive social impact. These initiatives connected with the bank’s digital community through a content strategy that was current, relevant to young users (the bank’s main clients), and built around inspiring narratives.

ResultsWe helped launch the ImaginChangers digital communite, which now has more than 10.000 digital volunteers.

What did we do? With this short film, we sought not only to remember what happened but also to raise awareness and pay tribute to those who turned chaos into hope. That is why we chose December 5, 2024 — International Volunteer Day — to premiere the documentary in two of the affected towns, Picassent and Alaquàs, honoring this wave of solidarity and showcasing the power and impact of volunteering.

When the DANA struck Valencia, Volies and its audiovisual team joined thousands of citizens on the streets, helping communities respond to the devastation. Amid the chaos, we knew the story needed to be told: the stories of resilience, solidarity, and the volunteers giving their all. Capturing real, impactful moments is at the heart of what we do. Inspired by the courage and commitment of the people of Valencia, we produced the documentary “La Voluntad” (The Will), giving a voice to those on the frontlines and showcasing the transformative power of volunteering.

Tennis Tournament

We helped organize the annual internal event that brought together 25 Amazon Web Services Community Engagement Managers from around the world in Spain.

We took care of the organization and communication of this major event, which is a benchmark in the sector.

This innnovative social initiative aims to transform tennis tournaments into impactful, purpose-driven events, creating inspiring experiences and building meaningful connections with the community that go far beyond the sport itself.

What did we do? We created the conference’s landing page and visual identity, developed the slogan that served as its common thread, and designed impactful participatory experiences. We maximized the event’s visibility through innovative multimedia strategies and produced all its audiovisual content. In addition, we coordinated 55 speakers and 10 workshops, compiling all their contributions into a single document to capture and share the event’s key takeaways.

ResultsWe succeeded in aligning the purpose of the 250 attendees with that of the event (to change the world through corporate volunteering), transforming the conference into an experience with real impact.

VOLUNTARE SUCCESS STORY

Voluntare held the 4th International Corporate Volunteering Congress and entrusted us with its organization. As the leading Spanish-speaking congress in the field, it brought together hundreds of companies, social organizations, and academic institutions over two days. At Volies Comms & Events, we managed the event from start to finish: from the initial concept to organization, logistics, and final production.

What did we do? As Amazon Web Services’ volunteer and communication partner across Europe for many years, we have developed a deep understanding of their purpose, mission, and corporate culture. This insight allowed us to design the event strategically from start to finish, including visual identity and slogan, audiovisual content, internal communications, corporate gifts, travel logistics, volunteer activities aligned with their purpose, and leisure experiences to enjoy and explore Spain.

ResultsWe designed an event where, over the course of a week, 30 Amazon Web Services colleagues enjoyed a memorable experience that strengthened their team spirit and reinforced their commitment to making a positive impact.

OFFSITE SPAIN 2024 AMAZON WEB SERVICES

The Community Engagement team at Amazon Web Services held its annual offsite meeting in Madrid and entrusted us with its full organization.

COMMS&EVENTS | EVENTS WITH A PURPOSE

From there, we designed three unique events that brought the spirit of the tournament into a senior residence and into one of the towns most affected by the floods, Catarroja, and we also screened our documentary La Voluntad (The Will) about the DANA in the tournament’s fan zone. For the International Day of Older Persons, we organized Pachanguitas, the most emotional match of the entire tournament, held at a senior center. It was a surprise game featuring the tournament director and former professional player Pablo Andújar, tournament player Sergi Fita, and Spanish Senior champions Antonio López and Paco Revert. For a moment, the match filled the center with life, excitement, and connection. This initiative was supported by a dedicated video campaign to reinforce awareness of the role of older people in society. Our second event in Catarroja was a Street Tennis activation, developed in collaboration with the Catarroja City Council and the Valencian Tennis Federation. The initiative was conceived as a gesture of emotional and community rebuilding on the first anniversary of the DANA floods, engaging more than 50 children and contributing to the community’s recovery. Lastly, during the tournament, we coordinated the screening of the documentary La Voluntad, followed by a discussion with stakeholders and participants to commemorate the anniversary and foster community dialogue.

Faulcombridge Cup Tennis Tournament

This innnovative social initiative aims to transform tennis tournaments into impactful, purpose-driven events, creating inspiring experiences and building meaningful connections with the community that go far beyond the sport itself. What did we do? To bring this vision to life, we developed a collaboration model with the Faulcombridge Cup, Valencia’s premier tennis tournament, and jointly identified the groups and causes they wanted to support: senior citizens and those affected by the DANA floods.

ResultsThis social program allowed the Faulcombridge Cup to stand out as one of the first sports tournaments with a social impact in Spain, strengthening its credibility and connection with the community. As a result, it boosted the tournament’s reputation, visibility, and media interest, as well as engagement from stakeholders and sponsors.
