Who influenced Britain more?
We believe Oliver Cromwell had more influence because, with the birth of his republic, he briefly changed the form of government of one of Europe's first monarchies. He was courageous because he fought and won against the absolutism of the crown. His Puritan government also changed the habits of English citizens, depriving them of leisure and focusing only on prayer, thus turning back time. As for Charles II, he was a good king, but I think his actions and accomplishments were influenced by Cromwell's past decisions. Even though he had to face major events like the plague and the Great Fire of London.
