  • What: Displacement of civilians, deaths from conflicts, demolitions of homes, restrictions on movement, limited access to resources
  • Why: Political conflict over territory, national identity, security, and historical claims; ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict

Armenian Genocide

1915–1917
  • Where: Ottoman Empire (modern-day Eastern Turkey)
  • Who: Armenian Christian population; perpetrators: Ottoman government
