Conducting a Search in Client (CIS)
When adding a person or business entity to a claim, you will search for them first.
When your search results display, determine if the client is already in the system. If so, select their existing client record to add them to the claim.
If they are not in CIS, add them as a new client.
Matching Information
When searching and determining which client to select, be sure to match at least two pieces of information such as:
Name and Address
Name and DOB
Name and Driver's License Number

If two pieces of identifying information cannot be matched, then it may be necessary to create a new client record.
If you are ever in doubt, it is best to create a new client for the claim rather than add an existing client that you cannot 100% confirm.
