Site supervisors must...

  • Have a MINIMUM of 2 years in the field as a practicing counselor
  • Possess a MASTER'S DEGREE, at minimum
  • Hold one of the following licenses:
    • LPC (or state equivalent)
    • LMFT
    • LCSW
    • LP

Site supervisors must NOT...

  • Hold ASSOCIATE status with their license

Ask the site: "Do you work with counselor trainees in Practicum and/or Internship?

A site supervisor is an EMPLOYEE at the field site.

Can be a...

  • Private practice
  • Local mental health authority (LMHA)
  • PHP/IOP clinic
  • Non-profit agency
  • Corrections facility
  • Behavioral health hospital
  • Women/children's shelter
  • ANY PLACE THAT PROVIDES CLINICAL COUNSELING SERVICES

Your Site will assign you a supervisor.
