According to Zimmerman, S. and Hutchins, C. (2003), Reading comprehension is reading, processing, and understanding text.

Reading isn't just a fun thing to do, is also a way for us to comprehened what's in front of us and how to get the best of it.

There are key questions to ask in a reading comprehension text.

  • What is the title of this book?
  • Who is the author and /or illustrator?
  • How do you know if this book is fiction or nonfiction?
  • What do you think will happen if…?
  • What is the author trying to tell us?

What to Do in the Activity

You will wait for the teacher to hand you the reading comprehension text to work in class.

Step 1

Once you have the text in your hands, the teacher will say who is the author and the name of the story.

Step 2

The teacher will explain to you what are the steps to follow while reading the comprehension text.

Step 3

Onceyou finished reading, you will answer some questions regarding the reading.
