Denial Letter
The denial letter template found in the Verify Claim Condition task will be partially automated based on the Medical Record Advisory tools findings in the medical records. The automation will write the denial based on the excerpts validated in the Pre-Existing Conditions table. The letter can still be edited if necessary, but should not be done without reason (e.g., the visit notes were incorrect, too technical without layman's terms, additional visit(s) need to be added, etc.). Remember that it will only pull excerpts from the visits reviewed.

What if there’s additional evidence beyond the three entries automatically included in the denial letter that shows the pet was treated or diagnosed with the condition being denied?In most cases, the three auto-populated entries provide sufficient justification for the denial. Typically, the only additional entry you'll need to add is from the date of loss records, if it helps further support the decision.
