The Chysanthemums [Mums]
If your personality is typically vibrant, charismatic, and wise. The Chrysanthemums (also known as mums) would be perfect for you. The mums stand out so much because of their bright colors, shining as much as they can through changing weather. This can also be true for someone's personality. Where the person can be energetic, resilient, and wise all at the same time. Mums are typically ideal for someone who is seeking radiating optimism and stability, especially when going through change. Someone who may resonate with the mums may be a warm person, with a bubbly personality and a strong sense of stability.
Garden Canna
Looking for someone who radiates confidence and resilience? Meet the Garden Canna! They rise with the sun, cloaked in petals of red, orange, and yellow fire. Wherever they grow, color follows, and dull corners start to remember what warmth feels like. They stand tall, proud, and generous, leaning on roots that can nourish, leaves that can weave, and beauty that gives back. Strength runs through every stem, and boldness seeps from every bloom. Yet they are still soft, aiming to prove that confidence and grace can share the same roots. They thrive where others start to wilt, transforming heat into energy and color into joy. The Garden Canna is a living ember that refuses to fade.
The Oak Tree
While it may be a common name you hear, the Oak Tree is far from a static tree. They morph with the seasons, changing with the sun and the clouds from a forest green to a mix of red, orange, and yellow and back again. When it gets a little rainy, the Oak shows a more tender side as their branches soften and leaves droop. Even if these mood swings aren’t your cup of tea, it might comfort you to know that it’s a predictable cycle and their beauty is lasting. They are always striving to grow as a tree and will be a natural provider, holding you up no matter how tough times may get. If this sounds like your soulmate, walk by the UPMC medical center on Forbes Ave.; Don’t be disappointed if you don’t get to catch their flowers, her strength is the real masterpiece.
Late Boneset
While summer’s showy blooms fade away, the Late Boneset quietly steps forward. Their pale flowers gather like morning fog, gentle but unyielding against the cooling air. They arrive when the world grows cold and tired, offering calm where chaos once lived. Their strength is patient, unshaken by passing storms. Even as the light wanes, they continue feeding bees and butterflies who are searching for one last meal. They don’t live to compete; they nurture what lingers and offer life when it’s needed most. They endure wind, chill, and change, which isn’t out of pride, but purpose. Each gesture is deliberate, each moment intentional, a lasting promise of patience and care. The Late Boneset thrives in stillness, proving that devotion doesn’t need to be loud to be unforgettable.
Euonymus Alatus[Burning Bush]
Euonymus alatus is a plant as gorgeous as their name, expressing a consistently eye-catching green during the colder months and the tips of their leaves reddening at the first glimpse of the sun. They don't need a partner to shield them from the UV, they much prefer having their room to breathe and grow. The alatus wears their heart on their sleeve, so the version of them you see is a direct reflection of the role you’ll play in their life. However, they stay conniving with their shallow roots, meaning that they are a hard person to take out of your life and even so, they leave a mark wherever they go. If you’re enticed to take this fiery bush in all their capacity, walk by Forbes Ave. and Halket St. to catch a glimpse.
Lavendar Plants

If you’re walking from your dorms to the Cathedral or through the William Pitt Union, you can see the Lavender plants. Lavender tends to sooth and heal those who may be stressed or anxious, allowing them to be healed, feel restored, and radiate positive energy. They match perfectly with someone who enjoys spending time indoors, or taking a breath to recharge away from others. People who connect to this plant tend to have calming souls and bring peace to those around them.
