The mission of the Code Enforcement Division is to enforce The City of Peachtree Corners ordinances in order to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the community. Click the link to read about Code Enforcement and common code violations.

Waste Management is the exclusive municipal solid waste hauler for residents and businesses in the city. Click the link to read more about trash pickup and recycling in Peachtree Corners.

The Communications and Public Affairs Department maintains the city’s website, calendar, and social media channels, creates e-newsletters, brochures, and issues press releases. As the Public Relations branch of the City, the department assists City Administration and Departments in communicating the goals and activities of the city government to the public. This division maintains roadways, signs, and rights-of-way, and oversees various permits related to road closures and rights-of-way encroachments.

The Building Division serves to protect the welfare of the public through interpretation and enforcement of the Georgia State Building, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical Codes, as well as other applicable regulations. The permitting process typically includes application for permit, building plan review, and inspection of projects from beginning of construction to issuance of a certificate of occupancy. The City Marshal’s Office was created to be a resource for filling gaps in services between the City’s Code Enforcement Officers and those of the Gwinnett County Police Department (GCPD). GCPD however, will continue to serve as the first-line policing agency for the City of Peachtree Corners and will continue to lead all emergency response, dispatch, and 911 services. The principal activities of the Municipal Court include:

  • Adjudicate all alleged violations of Peachtree Corners environmental, building and development codes.
  • Hold bench trials for those defendants who have pleaded "not guilty." A bench trial is heard by a Judge as opposed to a jury. Jury trials are held in Gwinnett County State Court.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of all court proceedings.

Curiosity Lab at Peachtree Corners is a city owned and operated living laboratory designed specifically as a proving ground for technology that has "graduated" from a closed laboratory environment. This division maintains compliance with Federal and State regulations for municipal operations.

The Director of Administrative Services acts as the Finance Director and head of Human Resources.

The Human Resources division handles all personnel matters for the city.

This division manages the City’s NPDES MS4 permits through the Georgia EPD, and it is responsible for managing all of the stormwater infrastructure. It is also responsible for the enforcement of environmental regulations, and for the City's compliance with Clean Water Act requirements & all other federal/state stormwater regulations. This division develops and maintains global relationships that position Peachtree Corners as a connected innovation hub. The Peachtree Corners IT Department manages core municipal technology, data security, and communication systems, while its primary distinction is the complex technical oversight of the Curiosity Lab. This dual role requires it to maintain an advanced smart city network, including specialized IoT and C-V2X infrastructure, to support both standard city services and the real-world testing of emerging technologies by external partners.
