In conjunction with the approval of City Quays 4, permission was also granted in early 2024 for Belfast Harbours social and affordable housing scheme comprising 69 homes on Pilot Street, Sailortown. Designed to enhance the surrounding area and complement existing housing, the development contributes to the transformation of the Belfast waterfront into a vibrant and inclusive urban neighbourhood.

City Quays Gardens

City Quays Gardens is the first project in Northern Ireland designed to ‘One Planet Living’ environmental standards, blending maritime heritage with sustainable design. Featuring lush green spaces, amphitheatre seating, outdoor workspaces, and extensive tree planting. The gardens promote wellbeing, social interaction, and agile working. City Quays 5 has been designed to be a dynamic, mixed use hub for the City Quays neighbourhood, providing best in class Grade A sustainable office space for businesses along with retail outlets, external terraces and a rooftop restaurant and bar with stunning views across listed buildings, the City Quays Gardens, and across to the water. Under the Bridges

The proposals for the Under The Bridges project, which are being brought forward by Belfast City Council in partnership with Belfast Harbour, aim to improve and restitch the connectivity links between the city centre, City Quays / Sailortown and the Waterfront area of the city, and to provide two enhanced urban recreation spaces in the areas under the M3 bridge.
