Gli animal studies sono un campo interdisciplinare che studia il ruolo, il significato e la rappresentazione degli animali nella cultura, nella società e nella storia umana, ponendo attenzione alle relazioni tra umani e non umani e mettendo in discussione l'antropocentrismo.
