Referring Students
The One Stop can answer many student questions, but it’s important to remember that our office serves as the front-facing hub for several campus departments. When students have questions about the admissions process, refer them to the Admissions Office. For inquiries about re-enrollment application status, direct them to the Registrar’s Office. While we can assist with general guidance and help students get started, we may not have all the answers, so always communicate this clearly.
UMB Website
Eligibility Notification
When nearing program completion, students receive an email notification to their UMB email alerting them of graduation eligibility.
Graduation
Application
Students must complete the graduation application through their WISER student information systems.
Applying for Graduation
Graduation Fee
A $200 graduation fee is charged to the student’s account after the application is submitted. This fee must be paid to avoid a hold that may prevent the student from receiving their diploma.
Planning for Graduation
Verification
The Registrar’s Office verifies all degree requirements before officially awarding the degree. Diplomas are not distributed at the graduation ceremony; they are mailed to students after the degree has been conferred.
Diplomas
Graduation Changes
If a student needs to change their graduation date, they must email the Graduation Team directly. Be sure to refer them to the appropriate team — Undergraduate or Graduate — based on their program.
