The European Commission offers a comprehensive range of tools and materials to support Erasmus+ beneficiaries and potential applicants. These resources are accessible via the Erasmus+ Resources and Tools. Below is an overview of the main tools offered by the European Commission, their contribution to Erasmus+ and how they contrast with TCAs.

What are ERASMUS+ Priorities?

Most TCAs are linked to at least one of the PRIORITIES of the Programme:

Participation in democratic life

Environmental sustainability and climate change

Digital transformation

Inclusion & Diversity

Unlock the Power of Priorities
Priorities intersect
Erasmus+ Priorities

Who is behind TCAs?

Behind every opportunity there is a network of organisations:

National Agencies (NAs)

SALTO Resource Centres

European Commission

  • defines the policy framework and priorities.
  • four resource centres support the priorities;
  • one resource centre manages the TCA Platform.
  • promote opportunities, select participants, ensure quality.

Your National Agency is your first go-to resource centre!

SALTO E&T TCA Resource Centre

Why does this matter to you as a TCA Participant?

At first sight, the SALTO E&T TCA Resource Centre may seem like just a technical page where you submit your TCA application and complete your evaluation form. However, its role is much more important:

Improving the Erasmus+ programme The Commission uses these results to see how TCAs help beneficiaries like you: - start new projects; - improve ongoing projects; - find stronger partnerships, and - align with key European priorities (digital, inclusion, green, participation).

One single space for all Education&Training TCAs Every E&T Training and Cooperation Activity (TCA) in Erasmus+ is published and managed here. This means you can always find up-to-date opportunities in one place, without having to search across different National Agencies.

Measuring the impact of TCAs When you complete your application, your evaluation, and follow-up in the SALTO Platform, your input becomes part of the bigger picture. It helps National Agencies and the European Commission understand what TCAs achieve across Europe. Without your input, the true impact of TCAs on Erasmus+ cannot be measured.

Why are TCAs unique?

TCAs are tools designed to directly engage stakeholders in dialogue, exchange, and innovation.

TCAs are a strategic lever for policy localisation.

TCAs complement EC tools by turning information into collaboration, and compliance into quality enhancement.

TCAs are supportive of community building, not just project building.

A TCA is never just a single event. By taking part, you are joining a wider movement: every participation makes Erasmus+ stronger, more inclusive, and more impactful across Europe.

Erasmus+ Project Results Platform

This platform offers access to a vast repository of information and outcomes from Erasmus+ funded projects. Users can search for projects by keywords, country, topic, and more, providing inspiration and insights into best practices. Highlighted "good practice" projects serve as models for quality and impact.

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

The ongoing digital transformation continuously impacts our societies and economies. It creates new ways to learn, train, work and actively participate in society, entertain, and communicate. Digital skills and competences are the cornerstone of social inclusion, active citizenship, employability, productivity, security and growth. The programmes contribute to more inclusive and cohesive, greener, and digitally fit societies. Europe’s innovation capacity, developing digital skills and competences and skills in forward-looking fields, such as combating climate change, clean energy, artificial intelligence, robotics, and big data analysis, is essential for Europe’s future sustainable growth and cohesion.

INCLUSION & DIVERSITY

The Erasmus+ programme aims to ensure that all diverse individuals can benefit from its opportunities. To achieve this, the programme offers mechanisms and resources to help people overcome obstacles they might face to participate in the activities. These obstacles can be disabilities or health issues, social or cultural challenges, economic or geographical barriers, educational disadvantages, discrimination, or any other barrier. European projects should be inclusive, accessible, and embrace diversity in all its forms. They should reach out to different people and recognise the diverse backgrounds of participants as a valuable learning opportunity. It is important to foster an equitable and respectful environment in all projects. TCAs and LTAs are powerful tools to strengthen inclusion in Erasmus+.

Your responsibility as a participant

Using the SALTO Platform

By using the SALTO Platform correctly and fully, you are contributing to the improvement of Erasmus+ for future beneficiaries.

Submitting feedback

Completing your feedback is not just paperwork: it is how your experience shapes the programme itself. The very existence of TCAs as learning opportunities depends on your feedback: if the European Commission is to maintain TCAs in the next programme cycle as a key quality-enhancement instrument, it must be possible to demonstrate their concrete impact on individual participants in relation to the objectives of the Erasmus+ programme.

ESEP

ESEP serves as a hub for stakeholders in school education, from early childhood to secondary levels. It hosts eTwinning, a secure community for teachers and school staff to collaborate on projects, engage in professional development, and share resources.

Start from your own National Agency! The application process always starts at the National Agency.

PARTICIPATION IN DEMOCRATIC LIFE, COMMON VALUES AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT

Participation in democratic processes is essential for the growth and development of societies in Europe and beyond. This includes developing the necessary competencies and finding diverse ways to hear and address people’s needs. The EU programmes serve as a tool to overcome barriers and facilitate active engagement and participation. European projects should help everyone who is engaged to exercise their right to participate in decision-making and to develop the competencies needed for active citizenship. Projects should use participatory practices that motivate people to be actively involved and be planned together with different people.

salto participation & INFORMATION

Erasmus+ Programme Guide

Erasmus+ Programme Guide offers detailed information on priorities, actions, and funding rules.

Priorities intersect

While these are four distinct priorities, they often very much intersect. For instance, ensuring that underrepresented people can participate in decision-making is an important act of inclusion. Similarly, smart use of digital tools can enhance projects by making them more environmentally sustainable, inclusive and participatory. It’s important to recognise these connections between priorities and leverage them. Addressing multiple priorities in the same initiative can create more comprehensive and impactful projects.

SALTO Inclusion&Diversity in E&T

SALTO Resource Centre for Inclusion and Diversity in Education and Training supports organisations across Europe in implementation of Erasmus+ projects that focus on inclusion and diversity.
SALTO ID ET was established in 2022. It is hosted by the Croatian Agency for mobility and EU programmes. It supports and promotes inclusion and diversity in Erasmus+ so that everyone is provided with the opportunity to participate and benefit from Erasmus+, regardless of their background or circumstances. The mission of SALTO ID ET is to make the Erasmus+ programme more inclusive and diverse and help build an inclusive society that celebrates diversity.

Erasmus+ Resources and Tools

The European Commission offers a comprehensive range of tools and materials to support Erasmus+ beneficiaries and potential applicants. These resources are accessible via the Erasmus+ Resources and Tools.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY & CLIMATE CHANGE

Environment and climate degradations affect everyone. It is vital for people to understand these crises and to increase their know-how and their will to act for a more environmentally sustainable future. Promoting learning and actions for the green transition, both formal and informal, is a priority in the Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps programmes. European project activities should be environmentally friendly. They should promote sustainable responsible behaviour among the participants and the participating organisations.

Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is the European Union’s flagship programme for Education & Training, Youth, and Sport. It brings together opportunities for learners, educators, trainers, organisations, and policy makers.

MOBILITY TOOL

Mobility Tool+ is essential for managing Erasmus+ projects, allowing beneficiaries to encode activities, manage budgets, and submit reports. It facilitates monitoring and evaluation throughout the project lifecycle.

TCAs

Training and Cooperation Activities (TCAs) are strategic instruments that National Agencies can use to both improve the quality of Erasmus+ projects and reinforce key European policy goals at the national level. TCAs in Education & Training and in Youth are hosted on two separate websites: E&T and Youth.

Experienced TCA participants share their expertise, mentor or inspire peers, contribute to networks, promote results and sustainability, influence practice and policy.

SALTO EDUCATION & TRAINING

SALTO stands for Support, Advanced Learning and Training Opportunities. SALTO Education & Training (SALTO E&T) Resource Centre serves as an overall supporting body to the National Agencies (NAs) to improve their Training and Cooperation Activities (TCAs). SALTO E&T provides online and offline platforms and tools for promoting consultations, planning, effective realisation and evaluation of training and cooperation activities; designs trainings for increasing the capacities of NA staff regarding TCAs and makes the results of TCAs accessible for the public.
