Blended mobility formats offer an international exchange opportunity to students who might otherwise not be able to participate in a semester mobility (e.g. students with caring responsibilities, working students, …). While BIPs may offer a more accessible exchange opportunity, please be mindful of implicit and hidden aspects that can impact your interaction in the online or physical space, the group dynamics, and students’ success in your course.
In the online space, your students will need to know and learn
- how to learn in this course
- how to be a student in this formal context
- how to be an expert in this disciplinary context
- how “to play the game” in this learning environment
You can help your students by continuously being clear about your expectations and ceating transparent instructions to handling the course environment, such as the learning management system.
