Remember the jaguar from earlier? Well, you avoided it, but now it's chasing you, angry.Your life depends on how well you can interpret the velocity-time graph on your dashboard.

At first, you're accelerating gently: on the graph, the slope of your velocity line is small. If you see the jaguar gaining ground, you know you need to "increase the slope!" You step on the gas: your velocity starts to climb much faster, and on the graph, the line rockets upward, showing a greater slope. This steep slope is your high acceleration, the only thing that will save you from its jaws.
