Unit 1

Practice activities: perception

PERCEPTION: the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

According to Gestal Theory of perception our mind is used to organise perception in order to recognize our previous knowledges (objects images..), by following some principles and it's influenced by the context and the previous structures. To be creative we should feel free and start to think out of the box.

Unit 1

Conclusion - Key elements to innovate

Challange/ problemWhen we face a problem, we can try to solve it with the tools that we already have, but in a creative way.

Active listening. The interaction is one of the key to learn. Focusing on what the speaker is communicaitng by means of words, body language and tone helps to understand the message.

Students as protagonists. It is important to remeber student's central role in the learning process. At the same time, we have to consider the context, in order to create solutions which are easy for them to catch and understand. Learing by doing!

3.
4.

Entrepreneurial thought The entrepreneurial mindset is a fundamental element to be innovative, that means to develp agency and initiative

NARRATIVE ARCH: STAGES

  1. approach & trigger: presentation of the call of action, by means of the introduction of the characters, their personal feature, context...
  2. action's development
  3. climax: narrative tension as the story reaches a critical point
  4. resolution:

TRANSMEDIA STORYTELLING We can teach a complex content with a new interesting structure, using many different platforms. Example: Cindarella's story adapts in our time.

Unit 2

Game based learning: storytelling cards

ACTIVITY WITH STUDENTS: STORYTELLING CARDS

We can split students into small groups. We can use illustrated cards to map out, organize, and develop stories by visualizing plot, characters, and themes based on classic narrative structures, like the Hero's Journey. You lay the cards out, using them as templates to write down ideas on post-its for characters, settings, conflicts, and plot points, creating a visual project for your narrative.
