Let's speak Everyday English & (ampersand) Business English

Introduction

What is this course about?

This intermediate-level English course is designed for individuals seeking to enhance their communication skills in everyday situations. The focus is on practical, spoken English. The aim is to help everyone speak English confidently and naturally by quickly learning:

  • useful vocabulary;
  • expressions in the workplace and in everyday situations.

Introduction

How many times have you studied grammar or started a course without real progress?

I think it is better to learn a little every day and use English in real life, like speaking with others or watching films with subtitles. That helps more than just reading grammar books. How can English language help you get a job?

  • Speaking English helps you talk to more people at work, as you can read and understand more job information.
  • You can work in more countries or with people from other places.
  • It can help you get a better job or higher pay.
  • If you live in a tourist area, many companies work with tourists and need workers who speak English. So English can help you get a job in travel agencies, tour companies, transport services, and companies that supply hotels, bars, and restaurants.

Do you have questions?

  • Most of the course will be offered in English to encourage you to speak, think, and find meaning using what you already know.
  • You are encouraged to guess, explore, and search for what you don’t know.
  • Try using synonyms or similar expressions to say the same thing: communication doesn’t have to be perfect to be effective. In real life and in real jobs, you cannot know everything, and that’s okay.
  • If you don’t understand something, ask! Asking shows you're paying attention.
  • You can always learn, that’s why it’s important to be curious and proactive, especially when using a foreign language.

Thank you for taking the course!
